Leadership Team

Dear Pequannock Valley School Community,

It is with great pleasure and Golden Panther Pride that I welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year. Over the last several years, I have served as the Assistant Principal of PV and for the last three years as the Principal. During that time, it has been my sincere privilege to be part of something so special here in Pequannock. The students, staff, and parents are second to none and I consider myself quite fortunate to play a small role in all that our students achieve each day.

As I enter my 22nd year in education as both a teacher and administrator, I look forward to getting back to many of the things we were all accustomed to pre-Covid. We have made progress in several areas, but many challenges still await all of us, but as I have said all along, the resolve of the PV students and staff makes anything possible.

As we adjust to full days of school again, I asked two questions of our students at the beginning of the year. At the start of the day, I want them to ask themselves, "How can I make someone else's life better today?" The second questions comes at the end of the day when they ask themselves, "Am I proud of the work I did today?" It is my hope that through these two questions we can all help each other get back to as normal a school setting as possible.

These last seven years at PV have allowed me to fully embrace and bear witness each and every day to our motto of “Knowledge. Spirit. Promise.” These words have become cornerstones of my educational philosophy, and I have forged relationships with students, parents, and the amazing staff members of PV throughout that time. Those relationships, along with the dedication of our faculty and staff, will enable us to not only continue our mission of excellence but also expand on it through the new challenges that await all of us.

Please know that I believe strongly in effective communication and I will do that in a few different ways. I will continue to send weekly newsletters that highlight important events and everything great happening at PV. In addition, I encourage you to follow us on Twitter at @pvpantherpride as there will be postings on a regular basis highlighting the exciting activities taking place both in and out of the classroom.

I am excited to begin this new journey with the students, staff, and parents. Go Panthers!

With Panther Pride,

John Seborowski
